Satisfied with results, unhappy regarding quantity. If it was a 16oz bottle I'd purchase again. Perfect for personal use where one doesn't wash their vehicle as often as they probably should.
Hey there! All MAXL products come in BIG 20oz bottles that are about 25% - 150% larger than the 8oz and 16oz industry standard size bottles! Our MAXWash & MAXRemove are concentrates so a little goes a long way! Here is a link with dilution rations! https://help.maxl.com/en-US/maxwash-instructions-and-dilution-ratios-598131
I totally LOVE these products. I have been washing & waxing cars for my families funeral homes for 51 years. This is absolutely the BEST & EASIEST product I have ever used. Better than ceramic ( too expensive $$)
Still trying to figure out the right way to use
Streaks, haze, smears, spots, films, residues, etc. are from too much product being on the surface and not being wiped off before it dries. If you rub your finger on it and it smears, then you can use damp soft microfiber towels to buff and wipe the excess product off. MAXEasy is chemical resistant, so soap will not remove it. MAXEasy is so easy to use that you can easily use too much. One bottle can do 8-10 cars. Here is a quick rundown of how to apply efficiently: Wet Application: 1. Out of direct sunlight, wash the car and thoroughly rinse off the soap. Don't use a soap that has a wax, etc in it as that will try to fight anything you put on the car afterwards. 2. Make sure you are out of direct sunlight, because sunlight causes MAXEasy to start drying and curing fast, which you do not want to happen until you are ready. Apply MAXEasy with only 1-4 sprays per panel. The hood is probably the only panel that would MAYBE need 4 sprays. If you are spraying more than 4 sprays on a panel, then you are over using and there will be excess product on the surface that will need to be wiped off while you are drying. You don't have to cover every square inch with MAXEasy because MAXEasy will spread very far when you rinse. Usually 1-4 spray lines per panel spaced apart about 18" or so is all you need. An easy way to make sure you don't use too much is to spray a big "X" across the entirety of each panel, which is only 2 full sprays. After you rinse, if you notice that you missed a spot, no big deal, just go back and hit it with MAXEasy then rinse. 3. Rinse around to spread thoroughly as you rinse it off. I like to rinse from the bottom up to make sure I spread it everywhere. Do not let MAXEasy dry on the surface. If you feel you won't make it around the car in a timely manner, then do the car in sections at a time. 4. Immediately dry the car. What I do, is after thoroughly rinsing it, I use a leaf blower to quickly blow the bulk of water off, out of cracks, wheels, etc. (Don't spend too much time with the blower, the drying towel is where the magic is on drying!) Then I use the MAXL SoftSorb drying towel to quickly finish it off. The SoftSorb towel absorbs water instantly on contact, and one towel will dry an entire car without scratching because it is so soft. That towel dries off a car a lot faster than the leaf blower. Also, while I'm using the towel, I look for areas where I may have sprayed too much or didn't rinse well enough such as streaks, oily residue, etc, and I smooth those areas out as I go. It's super quick and easy. (Do NOT use a chamois ("shammy") as those cause issues such as smears and streaking.) Think of it like putting lotion on skin. If you apply too much, then the excess has no place to go, so you have to wipe the excess off. After washing and rinsing the soap off, I can apply MAXEasy to the entire car, rinse it off, and dry it in less than 4 minutes. MAXEasy needs 24 - 48 hours to reach peak performance and peak chemical resistance. Also, when drying, make sure to pick up the wiper blades and dry them. Dry Application ("wax on, wax off"): On a clean vehicle you would spray MAXEasy into a soft microfiber towel, spray 1 or 2 sprays on the surface, then wipe it in. Flip the towel to a dry side to wipe off, then use a second clean dry soft microfiber towel to hand buff it to a pretty finish. No rinsing needed. Reach out to support@maxl.com for technical help!
DIRECTIONS: Apply to cool surface, and do not apply in direct sunlight. Never allow product dry on the surface. If drying occurs, mist more product or water occasionally on surface to rewet.
Mix product to desired ratio according to the chart below. Pre-rinse the surface with water. Spray MAXWash™ onto the surface. Apply liberally to difficult areas such as bug splatter, excessive road grime, etc. Allow product to soak 2-5 minutes on surface to allow it to work itself into stains, dirt, and debris.
Spray MAXWash™ onto wash media such as MAXL Super Soft YellowCell Wash Sponge or a soft wet microfiber towel then hand wash surface to mechanically dislodge the heavier stains and dirt off of the surface you are cleaning. Rinse microfiber cloth and/or wash sponge frequently to prevent excessive build-up of grime that can potentially mar or scratch the surface.
Rinse off thoroughly with water until all sudsing has been removed.
Dry the surface using air blower or a soft towel to reduce chances of water spots, marring, and scratches. MAXWash™ works best when used after pre-rinsing with MAXRemove™ to remove abrasives. MAXWash™ can be used in a foam cannon and bottle is designed to fit popular foam cannons. (bottle will not fully seat)
Dilutions (use a dilution bottle such as the MAXL Dilution Bottle):
Full Concentrate - Surface Prep, Difficult Stains such as bugs and contaminants
1:1 - Wheels, Engine, Surface Prep
4:1 - Car Wash, General Maintenance
9:1 - All-Purpose Cleaner, Interior Cleaning
64:1 - Rinseless Wash
2oz per 1 Gallon - Bucket wash
*Ratios are water first, then add MAXWash. For example, 4:1 means 4 parts water to 1 part MAXWash.
The higher the concentration, the thicker the foam will be. Usually, 4:1 or stronger seems to work best for foam cannons. MAXWash is designed to deliver maximum cleaning performance more so than being a "foam show".
Yes, MAXWash can be used as a rinseless wash by diluting it 64:1. However, it is always preferred to rinse any cleaning chemical off of a surface. Works great when used with the MAXL Super Soft YellowCell Wash Sponge
